Timothy J. Gablein is a Philadelphia-born photographer whose journey began with a childhood Polaroid and evolved through decades of creative exploration. After relocating to Portland, his work with Graphic Arts of Portland contributed to the development of his artistic voice, a sensibility he also applied while helping run a family-owned floral business. His career path—spanning print production, environmental prototyping, and mental health—shaped his sharp eye for detail and emotional nuance. Today, his photography spans fashion, pets, nature, and live events, always aiming to capture genuine, fleeting moments that reflect shared human experience.
About this Work
What began as a film noir concept evolved through workshop collaborations into a cinematic series inspired by vintage Hollywood glamour. The six final images reflect a refined focus on posing, lighting, and storytelling. Each frame captures the emotion and elegance of classic cinema, reimagined through modern fashion. This project highlights my growth in creative direction, collaboration, and visual storytelling.
