Almir Trejo | The Awakening
About this Artist
As someone who grew up not knowing what career I was going to do as an adult I chose to get into finish carpentry. I did that for years hoping I would make a career out of it. Eventually I went through deep hardships and eventually lost my best friend. After that, I struggled to find myself again. It was during that time that I picked up a camera for the first time in December 2017. I didn’t know what I was doing at first, but as I practiced, I began to connect with the world again. Now, through street and automotive photography, I tell stories of resilience, discovery, and everyday beauty.
About this Work
This project explores spring street photography by capturing candid moments of everyday life in public spaces. As the season brings warmer weather, brighter colors, and more outdoor activity, I aim to document authentic interactions, emotions, and movement within urban environments. Through spontaneous photography, I hope to improve my storytelling skills while strengthening my understanding of composition, lighting, timing, and framing. My focus will remain on natural moments that highlight the energy and atmosphere of spring.
