As a process engineer and technologist shifting my time and energy into the photographic community gained a sense of renewed purpose. Interacting with vibrant uninhibited artists has energized my creativity and given me a medium of expression. Alumni of the Photography certificate program at the University of Washington Seattle, member of the Photographic Center Northwest in Seattle. Active ASMP Seattle board member. My images have appeared at multiple galleries in the Pacific Northwest and online.

Finding beauty within our urban environment, from small scale details to larger majestic structures.
The frantic, stressful world that we live in—I make a concerted effort to slow down, to observe, to look at our environment from a different perspective. Planning my composition based on the subject matter, the available light, how I’m feeling emotionally, watching for objects that move such as birds or clouds. With this image I was waiting patiently for the clouds to position themselves - that was my decisive moment, recording a precious experience.
