Gizem Cavuslar | Peoples of Seattle

About this Artist

Gizem is a Seattle-based photographer whose interest in the medium traces back to her dad and uncle, both amateur photographers. She grew up around a film camera that was more than click and shoot, and their images of family life left a lasting impression. That early exposure shapes her approach today: street photography rooted in geometry, light, and unscripted moments. Her work is influenced by Saul Leiter, Fan Ho, and Henri Cartier-Bresson.

About this Work

A series of black and white street photographs of Seattle and the people moving through it. Candid figures caught in everyday moments, against the city's landmarks, streets, and architecture.
