About this Artist:

My first camera was a Zenit 122 that first belonged to my father. I still cherish that piece of equipment turned into a family heirloom that decorates every place I call home. It is a memento of the family who unknowingly cultivated my interest in art. I grew up filling rolls of film with that camera, watching old movies with my mother, reading any fiction I could find within reach, and writing my own stories. Unavoidably, my relationship with art and the image grew, driving me to study Art History. Still, my creative appetite wanted more; I wanted to create, so I grabbed a camera — thank you, Dad.

About this Work:

Amongst many definitions, Reflejo means the mirroring of an image. It also means to show, or more specifically, I show, I reveal. In its English form—reflection—it can also mean to ponder, as in oneself contemplating something deeply. Here, Reflejo means every single one of these definitions and more.
