Judi Adcock | Benches: Stories of Stillness
About this Artist
Influenced by my photographer relatives, I've always had a camera in hand. Growing up with handed-down cameras, I developed a passion for macro and landscape photography. In macro, I capture extraordinary details like dewdrops and insect wings, blending technical skill with artistic creativity.
My landscape photography highlights nature's serene beauty and raw power, preserving moments like tranquil mornings or dramatic storms. Through my work, I aim to inspire a deeper connection with nature and promote its preservation for future generations.
About this Work
This project was inspired by my journey with a genetic heart condition and recent surgery.
In the park's embrace, sitting on a bench, I found solace during my recovery. The rustling leaves and birdsong wove a tapestry of peace, allowing me to breathe deeply and let my thoughts flow freely. These tranquil moments connected me to nature, myself, and the present, offering a rare and precious calm. Through this project, I hope to share this serenity and connection, resonating with viewers and inviting them to experience the same tranquility.
